These two editions encompass the same notion of being a multiple, an edition, a print, but also each are produced in a manner that empowers them to be also a unique work. 'Untitled (Tear Stripe)' is a screen print made with black and white ink that progressively mixes throughout the run introducing an increasing amount of grey to the palette and the shiny brass plate reflects it's unique surroundings.
I am interested in multiple modes of dissemination of art and building upon the history of the print for artists through the ages. Each work is an object and an experience, with paper not simply a surface, and audience cast within the work, it's their choice if to read Tear as a rip or a product of crying. Each work is in constant flux, i.e. ' Time and Place' oscillates between an indicator of a celebration and a potential tragedy.
